For instance, GO! is GO
played on a different board (the Immunity Challenge board)
same color and no "beans" ever being removed from
the board. Thus one moves from GO! → GO
by increasing the number of
components, level 4, and adding some rules, which is reformulation,
GO! → GO!!
adds the central podium that allows players to
transfer to any adjacent tile. This is a relaxing of game constraints,
and is thus an abstraction of GO!, meaning level 7.
GO!! → Immunity Challenge
allows a distinguished player to
change places once with some other player. This is an example
also of relaxing a game constraint and so would be an abstraction.
So GO! → Immunity
via two abstractions: Level 7.
But there is no way to describe the transformation from GO →
the Immunity Challenge except than to use the
default level 10
that some strategies transfer: "fencing".
